The chocolate truffle cake at Harry's in San Miguel is devine!!!! Has anyone ever succeeded in getting the recipe? I hate to have to drive hours just for a piece of cake but sometimes it calls my name!

That cake almost keeps me from eating there because it is such a temptation. I think it is a flourless chocolate cake...In some recipe books it is called a chocolate organism...

I'm glad I'm not the only one addicted to that wonderful cake!!! I've made flourless chocolate cakes before but not with the sugar pecan (or whatever it is) crust! Wow-wee homer!

That's similar to a praline..very good candy typical of Louisana..Cake recipe is probably in some Louisiana church or Junior League recipe book..I'll ask around. Many folk from the hurricane have moved to Arkansas...where I am right now.

Shall I file that under:
"Temptations"
"Road to Perdition"
" Devil's Food"
or simply: "Death by Chocolate"

What a way to go!

Have you been to Costco lately? French truffles for about 60 p for nearly 2 pounds. It doesn't get much better than this.

Yes. But it's much safer to have the truffle cake at Harry's across town than right there in my casa!
