The James Beard Foundation announced its 2011 Book, Broadcast and Journalism Awards. Cookbook of the Year went to: Oaxaca al Gusto: An Infinite Gastronomy by Diana Kennedy.

I believe that it was first published in Spanish. The cost was considerably more than the present, English edition.

I was in SMA yesterday afternoon to have my copy in English (700p) signed by Ms. Kennedy and did notice the version in Spanish (1600p) was more than double,que lastima.......she was delightful and is a national treasure...
