Craving a convience food available NOTB ?

Or, if you like to make everything at home - saving money and reducing waste from all the plastic packaging these items usually come in-

Check out this site!

http://www.budget101.com/frugal/mix-recipes-166/

The entire website is helpful, some recipes looks more enticing than others (I believe they have over 100 ramen noodle recipes- good on a budget but horrible on your heart ~sodium overload~ ) .

The link posted is the "mixes" sections. Includes categories such as :
Beverages
Breakfasts
Cake mixes
Condiments
Cookies/bars
Dips and dressings
Dried foods
Gluten free
Cakes in a mug
MYO (make your own)
Popcorn
Pudding
Subsitutions

Etc.

We are loving the cuisine here, and the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. Sometimes though, I just want to make a quick meal or desert that reminds me of NOTB. OR a recipe I want to try includes a food that I havent yet seen here. This list will be helpful, instead of searching and searching for banana pudding mix, why not just make it yourself?

I am particularly wondering how this recipe will taste, as I didnt seem to enjoy the taste of the Nestle Media Crema I found in my coffee.

Coffee Creamer (from the website)

14 ounces can sweetened condensed milk
1 & 1/2 cups skim milk

Combine in blender and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

They suggest several additions to this for various flavors. They also list 20 different coffee creamer recipes .

Thanks for the site . . . . that is a really neat site and many fast and healthy dishes. I appreciate it . . . . . now to find one for some (left over) turkey pot pie or good turkey casserole. Hope you and yours had a really nice Christmas and will have a Happy and Healthy New Year for all your family.

Thanks Robert, for the holiday wishes. Hoping this year brings all the happiness in the world for you and your three little ladies !

We didnt do a turkey dish, as my inlaws dont like to use the oven very often (too much gas usage) and our house isnt ready yet. Next year i will be doing our christmas dinner at our house traditional foods and all!!

Just checked our your blog its good to see that you have been making everything at home. It has became really impossible these days to stay like you, kids love to eat our and once in a while I also go out with them so that I can get a free time from the kitchen. I loved your blog and would love to read it on a regular basis, thanks for sharing.
