Hola Thomas,

Carne en su jugo

1 lb. milanesa or sirloin tip
8 oz. bacon
1 lb. tomatillos
2 cloves garlic
4 scallions
1 tsp.Knorr suiza or any other brand of caldo de pollo
cilantro

Wash and remove husks from tomatillos then put in the blender with the garlic, cilantro and 1/2 cup water. Blend till smooth. cut bacon in small pieces and fry in a heavy saucepan. When bacon is done drain off the grease. Cut the meat in strips
and saute with the cooked bacon till the meat is slightly brown and juicy. Add the tomatillos and scallions, bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 25 mins. I forgot to add the salt!
You add about 1 tsp. or to taste to the tomatillos. You can also use pearl or green onions instead of the scallions. This dish goes very well with frijoles de la olla.

Enjoy, Gran
