what does this mean?

The word or phrase I heard was pronounced "OR AY LAY" or maybe "OR EH LAY". I don't know if it was one word or not. It was repeated many times as some guy tried to get another guy to leave his car. I don't know if it was threatening or not but they didn't look happy.

I'm sorry if this is dense but first what does (nm) signify? And does Come on! mean a similar thing to the English "Yeah right" as in disbelief or "Have at it" like someone might say if they're threatened and are telling the other person if they want to fight they can go right ahead. I would really like to know because the situation stuck in my mind. Thanks for answering.

(nm) = No message.

As you described the action, a guy was urging another to leave his car. Step down! Now! Come on!, ˇBájate! ˇYa! ˇÓrale!

Saludos,

Quevedo

Thanks so much for clarification, it helps me a lot to learn the body language that goes with the words!

This is used in several ways. For instance if my husband tells one of the kids to do something and they don't start going to do it he may say "órale". Sometimes when people are talking on the phone you may hear this same expression to mean "okay", "that's right" or to mean the person is in agreement.

ok, so I'm thinking the guy who was driving got tired of the passenger's attitude and tossed him out in the street. I wonder how far he had to walk home!
