Excellent, but if you were hired to translate a story/play in which the characters said the Spanish, how would you translate the lines into English? That's the part, I believe, that prompted Señor Quevedo to say that "gracias tiene dos significados muy diferentes", which as you mention, they do. Y, estimado Quevedo, es porque no hay dudo sobre las gracias de ella que decimos "adornan" y no "adornen"?
