salutations and closings

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hi...

There are some examples of common salutations and closings for letters at:
http://www.askoxford.com/languages/es/spanish_letters/

Are there other examples of the sorts of closings actually used when writing to one's children, friends, etc

For example, I use "love" at the end of a letter to my child, but it might seem rather odd/rude/whatever in Spanish.

thanks,

tom

I checked the source you cited and found it to be complete and useful. Some of the more formal expressions, Muy señor mío, for example, are not as widely used in Mexico as in Spain.

Un saludo cordial,

i believe you could also say, in closing,

le saluda, (the word "cordialmente" is inferred)
