Hola...

Hay cuatro hermanos, A, B, C, D.

A es el mayor, entonces B, C y D es el menor.

Pregunta:
C es mayor que D, claro.
¿ Si o No ? es correcto decir "B es aun mayor que D".
( o "C es mayor que D y B es aun mayor" )

Habría que decir: A es el mayor, entonces B, C y D son los menores.

¿Es correcto decir "B es aún mayor que D"? Basta decir: B es mayor que D.

C es mayor que D y B es aún mayor. Esta expresión es correcta.

En estos casos aún lleva acento porque substituye a la palabra todavía.

¿ Es verdad en general que es correcto usar "aún" con "más"?

Por ejemplo, "A es alto, B es un poco más alto y C es aún más alto, pero Z es el más alto del grupo".

Y, igualmente con "viejo", "bonita", etc, etc?

Si se puede substituir por todavía más sin cambiar el sentido de la frase, como es el caso de sus ejemplos, debe de ser correcto.

Absolutely! But watch: you cannot say "Y. igualmente..." You must say: "E, igualmente...."

Hola...

I wasn't paying attention to the "y" before "i" problem - thanks for the reminder.

As perhaps too fine a point, but the kind I find interesting nonetheless, I realize that one must not say "importante y igual", but would the comma after "y" sometimes make enough of a separation that the "y" persists?

No. The rule is: when a word beginning with the letters 'i' or 'hi' is preceded by the word 'and', 'and' is written 'e'. Ferretería González e Hijos, por ejemplo. The comma doesn't influence the rule.

HI. No, it wouldn't because it is not about separation or pausing, but sound, and then as Esperanza rightly said, you have to use the "e" instead of the "y".
