children's spanish lessons in QR

Can't Post |
We are moving in a few weeks to Playa del Carmen for a six months trial move with our two children, aged almost 9 and 10. We will be homeschooling our children, but are very interested in having them in some intensive spanish language lessons so that they are able to learn the language quickly. My son will be joining a soccer league there, and so will need to know Spanish! =) We have looked into local language schools such as Solexico, however it will cost us over $1000 for two to three weeks of lessons for our children at these schoos (three hours a day, five days a week) and this is just sooo expensive. I'm wondering if anyone knows of anything a little more reasonable by any chance, or if this is our only bet at getting our kids speaking the language quickly and effectively.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Our spanish teacher is excellent, her name is Leliete and she is also a teacher at the bilingual school in Puerto Aventuras where she lives. My recommendation would be to have her teach your kids a couple of times a week and you would need to make sure they do their homework. They will pick it up quickly if you give them a lot of access to other kids who speak spanish. If you can afford it, sending them to the bilingual school for at least half a year would be a great benefit. Her phone number is 044- 984 806 2158. It's her cell phone which is why the 044 is there.

Tell her Jonna and Mimi sent you if you call.
