When we bought computers in the good ole days, they always came with assorted software programs already installed. After having been off-line for a few years out at the ranch, both Hubby and I bought new laptops several months ago. We were delighted at how much prices had come down. Then we found out why. The only software program installed was the Windows Vista operating system. Everything else we have had to purchase (or borrow discs from our kids and friends). Anyway, when we first moved to Mexico many years ago, we had a program on our laptop for Spanish/English translation that was pretty good. I don't remember the name. One of the best features was that we could take it with us to someone's office, carry on a typed conversation with a Spanish speaker, and as each party to the "conversation" typed it was automatically translated to the other's language. We used it a lot for banking, real estate, and other business matters. Of course, as with all translation programs it was not perfect, but it helped us get the jobs done satisfactorily. Can anyone recommend a similar program we could perhaps purchase on line? I hate to bother Olivia with my every little question, and I do have plenty!
