The accent is on the 'i'. The dictionary says it means hunting. I find the word in B. Traven's book "Government". In the book it is a place where indians go to serve out their debts in the debt peonage system (i.e. slavery). Sounds like it means factory or hacienda or something similar. Does anyone know what the meaning of the word is when used in this manner? Thanks
