That's the way the cookie crumbles

Hi all, it's been awhile since my last post (oops that almost sounds like confession) just wanted to say thank you for the help. I have another question now, I am looking for an idiom equivalent to the English one in the subject line. I need a popular one that would be universally understood in the spanish speaking community as this crosses my mind quite often. I guess another way to phrase the idiom would be "%#@& Happens", but I want one more polite than that.
thanks,
Jon

: How about Ni modo?
That would be the most common, I think, even if not the exact translation.
Bote

: Que sera, sera.
Thanks Mereja, this seems logical. Unfortunately, the word sera is one of the most, if not the most, difficult words for me to pronounce correctly. It's those rrrrr's! It reminds me of that song a few years ago, "Por que sera?" something about eating each other alive. Anyway, it was a catchy tune and I have been laughed at many times with my pronounciation of sera, or maybe it was just my singing?
Jon

I'm not so sure that this is correct. My wife of over 20 years says it isn't used and in all the years I've lived here I've never heard it used. The "asi es" o "asi es la vida" o "asi son las cosas" are used a lot.
: : Que sera, sera.
: Thanks Mereja, this seems logical. or "Esto es México."
Or: "Estás en México, güey!"
Or: "No m-mes."
Un saludo mexicano.
