Is there some place where I can go and get the Spanish names for different spices? I got a few things at Superlake last week but forgot sage, cloves and some other things but I have no idea how to say these things in Spanish so I can't ask for it.

Melaque shopping leaves a little to be desired.

Man I love Mexconnected.... Getting Mexico-specific vocabularly is sometimes difficult, and this particular forum has really come through for me any number of times. Rolly and others, thanks for your great lists!

Wonderful list, Rolly. But missing one item I have been looking for here - either the spice or the tree: Allspice. Any ideas? I know it is a spice in its own right, and not a mix like curry, because I had an allspice tree in Florida.

Might it also be known as pimienta gorda?
