I have put together a list of a dozen translators that I use from time to time. Some on-line and some software for off-line use. Two for food words and even one for naughty words.

Thanks for the list of sites and software.

I just got back from a trip to Tepoztlan. I took a 'phase book' and a 'dictionary', but both turned out to be useless.

Prior to going, I looked into 'SysTran 4'. It would have run on my laptop, but there was no time to buy it. Have you tried that? It wasn't on your list.

The laptop was with me, but it wasn't something I wanted to lug along while out and about town. I used my Palm Pilot a great deal on the trip, and that would have been the 'device' of choice for translations 'in town'. I am going to look into translation software for the Palm OS.
