Hola Mis Amigos, It has been awhile since I posted on this forum. I wanted to let you all know about a website I discovered where you can practice languages (including Spanish/English practice) with people from around the world who which to exchange practice with others. It is called mylanguageexchange.com You can join free of charge with "limited access" and there is a small charge annually if you want to have more options. It includes Penpal exchange, Live voice chat with 50/50 practice in each other's languages and Text Chat sessions. Good search capabilities to match people up with partners who have comparable levels of skill etc. Just thought this might be a good resource for people on this forum wishing to practice their Spanish with native speakers. I wanted to let everyone know that my wife and I spent 18 days in Mexico this summer visiting Morelia and Lake Chapala areas. We enjoyed our visit to Mexico and I was able to use my "poquito" Spanish skills somewhat. Especially in Morelia where we found very few people who spoke much English. It was fun! With only one 9 week Evening class under my belt there wasn't too much that I could say or understand but what I did know helped us "survive". What I found humorous to some extent was, for example, I could ask for directions or whatever but I couldn't readily understand the answer. But the more time I spent in Mexico my ear began to "tune up" and I started to understand more and more. Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone on this forum who helped me last Spring with my "assignments" for my class... By the way, it wasn't cheating... Our teacher encouraged us to get as much help as we could from any sources... I will probably be taking class again this fall, so you all should expect to see "algunas preguntas di mi otra vez"...
