Piropos: Share them with us!

Can't Post |
After seeing two posts on piropos (Ya estas mi reina, and the paltry "Ay yi yi") I was reminded of a particularly colorful piropo extended my way when I was a girl (long, long time ago, but I never forgot!). It sort of stopped me in my tracks: "Ay, senorita, eres tan bella que me haces encender las cerillas en el bolsillo."
Have any of you got any particularly colorful piropos? They are fun! This is a major way to chase the blues in the Spanish speaking world: take a walk and have the men "echar piropos" at you. Beats Prozac any day of the week!
When my teenage daughter moved to the US she thought there was something "wrong" with all the guys in her school because they didn't do this.

Desearía ser una lágrima tuya... Para nacer en tus ojos, vivir en tus mejillas, y morir en tus labios...
I cheat but liked this one

: Si así como las muevas las bates, que rico chocolate!
This would definitely qualify as a bona fide piropo -- but don't use it with any male relatives around!

: What a great idea Georgia! Wish I could remember some Ive heard (many moons ago). Are piropos only found in the "Hispanic" world?
My humble opinion is that only the hispanic male will take the time and has the "soul" for such romantic creativity. Think of the "Don Juan" character. He seduced them with words! My husband is Italian. They pinch. (In Rome I once saw guys in a convertible pinch two girls going the opposite way on a motor scooter in heavy, slow traffic. That's Italian!) My husband doesn't pinch ... he's more hispanic in that regard, so that's how he "pinched" me!

What a shame more men (regardless of ethnicity) don't share this "romantic creativity". I love them and many are priceless and always bring a smile to my face.
: : What a great idea Georgia! If you beat them like you move them, what tasty chocolate. (I will leave the interpretation of "them" to the reader!)
Now: the "cerillas" one: Ay, senorita, you are so beautiful you make the matches light up in my pocket!"
There are earthy piropos, as above and terribly romantic ones, such as the post about the "lagrimas"
