Not Really a Spanish, but a mexican Question

I was recently speaking with an indigenous obrero,at work and he pronounces náhautl as "nawa". Is this the accepted pronounciation in the Americas?

Thanks,

Brent

Brent, your spelling is just a bit off, which would possibly account for your question. From the Diccionario del español usual en México:

Both words are usually pronounced nahua here in México lindo y querido.

Thanks Esperanza, I think I made a "typo" or error de dedo, as we say in the chamba. I think us gringos pronounced the TL, but couldn't remember from anthropology class.
Thanks again.

Brent
