Gorro

Gorro is a baseball type cap in most of the Spanish speaking world, but in Jalisco, I think they, at times, use something like "cacucha", which if misspelled or mis-pronounced can take on a whole new meaning, as slang in Jalisco for part of human anatomy.
Can anyone shed light on the local word for cap?

Thanks,

brent

cachucha - Prenda de vestir, generalmente de tela y con visera, con que se cubre la cabeza.

(gorra) cap
(baile) cachucha (Andalusian dance)
(maritime, nautical) small boat
Bolivia (cachaza) cheap rum
Chile (bofetada) slap
Colombia , Venezuela baseball

Hello:

But be careful with garrón. Garrón is not a large cap. Garrón is a "freeloader", at least here in Zacatecas.

gorras negras--bad guys or gorras prietas (black caps)
gorras blancas--good guys (white caps)

Adiós. jerezano.
