I thought maybe they meant that they had to "sell the ranch or part of it" to survive, i.e., they were in dire straits.
: : Sentence taken from an article in "El Sur", please translate:
: : Dijo que mientras sus diez compañeros tienen que “ranchar” para ganarse unos pesos...
: : Thanks

What does "s.w.a.g." mean? Ranchar sounds like Spanglish to me :)

Speaking of ranches, has anybody heard people say "ariendate a la derecha" instead of "turn right"? I know, it is not correct, but just in case someone is out there in some ranchito they will know what the person is talking about.
: Sentence taken from an article in "El Sur", please translate:
: Dijo que mientras sus diez compañeros tienen que “ranchar” para ganarse unos pesos...
: Thanks
