: I used to feel the same way untill my boyfriend got a Pitt Bull, and then I saw a Pitt Bull different from the ones I would here about in the news. All animals instinctively attack if they feel threatened. Pitt Bulls (like any other large dog) may cause more damage than normal. If you train your dog properly - ie. how to interact with people, enough space to run around, walk it regularly - and not keep it cooped up in a cage 20 hours a day with no attention, that dog will show you so much love and be loyal to you for the rest of its life. Why not do some in depth research (don't rely on the media alone) before making such statements.<p>
