In the past I have mentioned that we used Mission tile floors in our house in San Miguel de Allende. I finally found the information and will pass it on to you. Barrios De Stevens The card says Restoration for old mosaic floors and materials for construction. These are the concrete-marble dust floors with a design in them - often seen in churches and turn of the 19th century houses. Often they look like oriental rugs embedded in a tile floor. They last for ever and a tile can be made of up to 5 colors. The legend is the Vatican invented them when they were having a mission building boom and couldn't make travertine fast enough. There probably are other companies that make them and if you of know them- pass it on.
