Several months ago, I was thinking about how to reduce the summer heat transfer through my numerous windows. Living here in San Felipe, Baja, it gets pretty hot here in the Sonoran desert. I looked into window film, but did not want the "solar light filter" in the winter as it would then interfere with needed light and solar heating of the rooms. Since my windows are sliders, I then thought of the velcro on the corners of the windows. I ended up stapling the loop side of velcro to the corner of the sun screen and it works great. It reduces the heat from getting to the glass and metal window frame and the resulting heat transfer. I am a happy camper!
