Hello BajaDean, This was a great reminder. I am getting ready to leave Texas for Queretaro as the eye surgery seems to be coming to a point where the drastic raise in altitude will not be a factor. I have only two eye appointments left one tomorrow and the other Friday by the VA. If all goes well, I should be able to leave here on Saturday. . . . . . . . You really reminded me of a problem that we have and It got me into gear to go to Home Depot and buy two 100 foot rolls of screen material. Thanks for the reminder. I had Jimena go with her father and measure every window in the existing home and then figures in the addition of three additional rooms with the window sized. I wound up buying two rolls which should leave me enough for screening in part of one patio. Flash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn mechanical things . . . . . . . . The new (to me) 2008 Tahoe with only twenty eight thousand miles on it had a meltdown this afternoon!!!!! Apparently two broken valve springs. This is one of those 4 to 8 cylinder vehicles. The “meltdown” evidently is called a valve collapse. Obviously I was not tickled about this new situation. Got to the dealer at about 1 PM and even the owner came out to assure me it would go immediately into the shop (and surprise, surprise .. . it did indeed. Computers holed up and then the bad news. The owner of Clark Kemp Honda / Chevrolet assured me all would be repaired and all of the upper end of the engine inspected to ensure no other valve springs may be weak. All new push rods and guides along with checking the valves themselves. Fifteen minutes after getting the bad news, the dealership had a rent a car for me to use during the repairs to the Tahoe. While I am pissed about the situation, I am eternally grateful it happened here and not on a lonely stretch of Mexican highway. The only test drive I get will be the trip home to Queretaro. Well I better get back to packing. It’s up early n the morning for the eye doctor. Then back to packing including two hundred foot rolls pf screen material! robt65
