Great ideas both! . . . . . you can also save a lot of time for about the same price (except for the staple idea) and buy a good quality (3 M) double sided tape and use the tape on the screen along with the Velcro (we paid about the equivalent of $2.00 here in San Juan del Rio for two meters of 1" Velcro) and then put the screen on that way, on either side of the window . . . inside or outside, depending on the swing of your window. Also works for louvered windows if you leave enough excess screen material.

The mexliving link looks to be a login?

Aluminum frames are nicer especially if you want tight screens

Hello Sparks,

these screens are tight as a drum head. . . . . . . No Gaps! I do not intend in investing in aluminum (nicer looking yes, more expensive? You bet) screens for this one last summer for my landlord in the rented house.
