Plumeria/Flor de Mayo

My Plumeria/Flor de Mayo trees don't bloom very much. I see others nearby blooming much more. They are several years old (5-8) and get lots of sun. Any secrets?

You don't mention where you live -- here in Yucatan, Plumeria generally loses its leaves for several months during the dry season, BUT, if watered generously (but not over-watered -- the drainage must also be good), they will retain their leaves. I have heard that overwatering makes the buds drop, and know that poor drainage will kill the tree.
I read on a web site that fertilizing (high phosphorous) also promotes blooms, but haven't tried this.

Thanks! I'm in Guanajuato. The trees look great--the leaves anyway--they just don't bloom much. I'll try the fertilizer--thanks again.
