Does anyone know off hand what stores might carry Minwax products in Mexico, especially Polyurethanes?

Thanks,

Robt65

Yesterday, I went to a Home Depot in Edomex looking for a number of things including the same Minwax product. They had a representative selection of various shades (+/-10?) that included what I needed.

Thanks FordMexico and Steve

I appreciate the heads up. I will give our local Home Depot a try. Hope to find some type of Poly seal for a new Mesquite door and frame for our home.

Regards,
Robt65

I used it extensively NOB on a number of projects and love the finish and the color tones available in fact, here's a shot of the desk complex I built in that house http://360west.com/images/IMG_2515.JPG

Has anyone used Tung Oil rather than Min Wax? If so, where can it be bought in Mexico?

This is a slab of cedar, common in the Hill Country of TX that I bought for less than $5 and sanded it smooth preserving the original shape and edge texture. I used tung oil and recoated it about twice a year. It's a bit heavy and definitely has an odor, but gives a nice finish. I used to live near Picayune, MS, the town was "owned" by the Thigpen family whose claim to riches was tung nuts and the oil they produce, but I've not seen it down here. http://chapalaweather.net/mantle.jpg
