Lots of concrete this week

We got the north second floor slab poured this week. We also got the electrical rough-in finished in both the south units.
We started installing the metal window frames, but I didn't post any pictures of this because I plan to have a detailed layout of window making next week.
To see everything, go to Rollybrook.com
or click below for this week's saga.

Styrofoam blocks

Hi Loco,
Click below to go back a few weeks where I talked about the Styrofoam foam blocks. Then go on to the next page for several pictures of the guys carrying concrete on their heads. I agree with you that it is like a dance -- I call it a concrete ballet.
We have not decided if we need to have a finish coat on the floor before laying the tile. We'll wait until we see what kind of mess the plaster guys make. At the moment, it looks like we can lay tile on the slab as is.

Yeah I understood putting them in before the pour. Possibly those in my picture were just left over from the floor they were pouring. Amazed if there were not a lot of cracks in those floors with different depths of concrete. Must still be 3 inches over the foam or it would be weak.
