My metal door and window guy does great work on his part of the project (except door nobs). He bids with the mosquetero included. Problem is he uses an aluminero for the window screens and screen doors.

The first aluminero showed up only wanting to do additional work ... not the window screens agreed upon earlier. He got the boot.

The second aluminero just installed a screen door that won't close because the door knob on the main door sticks out too far. And my metal guy never showed today to check things and install the window screens which was his job.

This pendejo aluminero had the nerve to ask for more work like bathroom doors, etc while not even telling me about the front screen door not closing

Building anything in Mexico is usually a pain unless you've been thru each process 3 times before

I think it also depends on where you are located and the quality of the people. Where are you located?

Well John does tend that way sometimes ... but I do have to agree the quality of the people was lacking this time. And it had nothing to do with being Mexican ... or the location. There are good and bad ones everywhere.

We gave they guy back all his screens and he was not paid. We'll wait for a quality job even if it takes a few more weeks

Poor workmanship is not the same as moral shortcomings.
