Budget and worries

: Rolly: If I may ask, what is the projected cost of the project when complete. Just getting ideas,
The original budget was US$100,000; that was the amount available as the family’s part of a California lottery winning. It now looks like the total will run more than that. We are developing contingency plans to deal with an over run. Items on the option list include water pressure pumps, pavers for the patio, paint on the stucco, floor tile in the bedrooms, and the swamp coolers. I worry about not being able to complete the project as planned, but the family does not seem too concerned. One of the sisters summed it when she said “I don’t need tile; I don’t need paint; I just need a house.” There is also a small chance that the uncle who won the lottery and is sharing the pot among four families, might be induced to increase this family’s share. We should have a pretty clear picture of what we will be able to complete when the roof is finished, probably by the end of this year.
