House Project Update for 15 February 2003

This week we completed the painting of the window frames on the second floor of both buildings, and the glass man installed all the glass for the second floor.

We finished the outside paint touch-ups and removed the scaffolding, so we can begin painting the bottom part of the buildings next week.

The cabinet makers (both of them) continue to be painfully slow. Unless we can find a faster way for building cabinets, we'll be at this until the Forth of July. Ugh!

Hola Richard,

Actually I had told several MXC e-mailers about my plans, and I was going to post some words about the new project in one of my weekly updates, but I just never got around to it. So here it is:

When the current project is done, we are going to remodel a 25-year old single story house to modernize the downstairs and to add three bedrooms on a second floor. It's the home of the mother and father of the Valdepeñas kids who are the owners of the current project. When this job is done, Sr y Sra Valdepeñas will move here while we do their house. The remainder of the current project and the next one should keep me out of the pool hall for the rest of 2003 -- making another 45 or so weekly updates. I may have to buy more storage space on my web server. Smile

When we finish with the wood, we are planning to give it to the two masons as a bonus at the end of the job.

Give David the bucks, and stick around to watch the next show.
