Thanks ... it works with FireFox and Netscape. IE7 puts each word on a separate line

Does in mine also, but I think it's in the page html. Just took a look at the source but didn't spend more than a few seconds on it.
Unfortunatly IE is much stricter with page layout than the other browsers and there is still one or three bugs left in IE, inparticular with it's interpratation of java script,

The cell properties were something like 137 pixels. I changed it to 100% and it looks fine

Darn ! Didn't think of that Sparks. Then you were using IEs font size enlarger. Great, I learn something new every day. Larger on mine is 100% and i couldn't see it properly with that, so I'll try it at a smaller %.
Changed it a few days back because of my eyesight.
Thanks & have a good one....

There's a lot of code on the page to be just looking at the source. I loaded the page into my HTML Editor and just looked at the cell/table properties that seemed to be effected

I guess this should be shipped off to the technical section at this point ;)

All comments much appreciated. The problem(s) is/are already being dealt with by the (we hope) appropriate person: el Generalissimo David de las Gracias, a.k.a. webjefe himself. Needless to say, he has a few other things on his plate, so it may be a (short?) while before it's all fixed!

Well, it's not quite fixed. It does not recognize me as a member and wants me to join before reading additional articles in the series.

The problem seems to be for those of us using Internet Explorer 7 beta. When I tried to view the site earlier today, I had the same problem that Sparks had. All the words were in a single column. To read the articles would have taken an hour or so of scrolling.

I fired up Firefox and was able to read it OK. I have chosen to use my Internet Explorer homepage when using Firefox. It appears to revert to Internet Explorer 6; it does not have the changed interface of IE 7 with the larger viewing area on the monitor.

I found the articles to be very accurate, they were written by a PE. I spent 47 years working in the construction industry. It takes a lot of education to work as a skilled tradesman of any kind in that industry. It is not a place for dummies.

After going to school for 4 or often 5 years to become a journeyman, you will spend the rest of your working life attending seminars and training classes to remain current with the latest developments in order to maintain your personal licenses. You must have a good knowledge of the applicable laws of physics.

Now that it is supposed to be fixed, I tried viewing the site again using IE7. I get the sign up page for Mexconnect, so I can pay for a membership and view all articles. I’m signed in and I’m already a Mexconnect member and have been since registration was first required in late 2001 or early 2002.

The article listed is the first and only one by Brad Grieve - there are more to come.

That was an error. The entire series was purchased to run as a monthly column. They were all (briefly) posted by mistake. I'm so sorry.
