We're looking into building or buying and rennovating in the Ajijic area and wondered if anybody could give us some input on the cost of appliances and fixtures in Mexico compared to the US. If we look at say a Kitchenaid built in 30 inch oven here in LA for $1,200, is the same oven more, less or about the same in Guadalajara? From browsing the web, it looks like most of the brands are available there, but the websites don't show prices.

That will give you the minimum and maximum prices of a selection of domestic appliances in the Guadalajara area.
