My boy gardener suggested that I use what todos de los jardineros usan,to kill weeds on my construction lot, so we did. The stuff is called LABOR 360 ( I think it works all the way around! :} ).

Anyway, some of you chemists, environmentalists, or toxicologists maybe can tell me just how bad this stuff is: gilfosato: sal isopropilamina de N-(fosfonametil) glicina.

I would guess that this is some sort of organic salt of glycerine and some isopropyl amine. Sounds nasty.

If this is not enviro friendly, what could be used? I am building on a jungle mountain & things grow fast. After we get it under control, I want to use mechanical controls: cut & weed.

Active ingredient is glyphosate (glifosato). It is commonly used as a general week-killer - for details and toxicity report, see http://www.scorecard.org/...bstance_id=1071-83-6
