Based upon our personal experiences, Jerezano's statements may be in error. Our experiences at the Santa Teresa, NM/San Jeronimo crossing have been that the old FMT could be used for multiple in/outs as long as they were all made in the original 180 day window. In fact, we have had Immigration officials attempt to talk us out of canceling a FMT to save the fee. That is what got us in trouble when we did not cancel and the FMT expired while we were NOB. After the incident when we got fined for expired FMT's, 16 days later when crossing back NOB, they again tried to talk us out of canceling. There was NO way we weren't going to cancel after what we went through going into MX! One thing that may compound Norma's situation is that she crossed into the US via automobile and now she wants to fly back in. Typically, the airlines automatically include the FMM fee in the ticket price and there might be a real issue with Immigration at the airport. The only clue that I can provide is that we were caught not through our actual FMT's but rather by a lack of exit stamp in one of our US Passports. Regards, Neil Albuquerque, NM
