Let me tell you, you don't have to pay anything over the internet to Banjercito. The only thing it does it saves some time by not having to fill paperwork at the border. You have 15 days from the date you input the information to go to the border and get the temporary importation permit.
When you use your credit card at the border, the only charge you the equivalent of $24.00 on your card, not $400.00. I can asure you that it is safe for you to do the "pre-registration" at the Banjercito web site and no credit information is needed to do this. You still have to go to banjercito to pick up the sticker. Hope this will help you.
Good Luck!
: does anyone know if it is safe and reliable to do the temporary vehcile import thing on the internet at banjercito.com : i mean if i do it on the internet and then when i get there will it work ? will they accept it ? and will they put 400 dollars on my credit card or will they only put the charge on if i don't return the car ?
: thanks alot
: penny
