hotels recommendations in Ajijic

We'll be in Ajijic in June and need hotel suggestions. Nothing expensive. Something clean with a private bath. There will be 5 of us so we'll probably need 2 rooms.

Debra - the Laguna B & B at $35 a night for 2, including a really good breakfast (your choice of the menu) is hard to beat - basic but clean and pleasant and in walking distance to the plaza and just about everything in the village. Whether they have vacancies, I don't know but a quick email or phone call will get you that information.

Debra - Laguna Real Estate also has somewhere called Laguna Suites that also might work for you. I have no idea of the costs on that one but you will hear from them and I'm sure they can move you on to somewhere else.

Here is another inexpensive place, right on the Plaza this time. This can be a little difficult if you have a vehicle - parking is tight in that area.

We not only will have a vehicle but we'll have two. My son-in-law has to fly out of DF before we do and there are 5 of us so we felt it was better to get two cars.

Then I don't recommend the place on the Plaza. Parking outside Laguna Bed & Brunch, on Zaragosa, is usually just fine. They do have some off street parking but the entrance is a bear and I would say just forget it. I hope the vehicles will be suitable for village streets - i.e. not too wide.

If you don't hear from them soon, email again but they are usually pretty good about replying. I would think that in June you would have no problems.
