: Any advice on driving from Chapala to Huatulco? Also, how to bypass Mexico City? Where to stay along the way, etc--Thanks<p>Here is a route not taken by many.... You must like it HOT! to take this one!<p>From Chapala head down the hill for Tecoman, then south on #200 through some VERY sparsley populated coast to Playa Azul, or Zihuatanejo, on to
Acapulco, through Guerrero state to Oaxaca and Pt. Escondido, then on to Huatulco! Remember Vincente Guerrero was sold out for 50,000 gold pesos on that beach!<p>There, now you have seen parts of Mexico few Gringos will ever see!<p>Good Luck
