We have rented a casa in San Miguel for Jan. thru March and would like to drive from OH, USA. Where do we find detailed directions for San Miguel on the computer?

Your best bet might be to go over to the On The Road Again forum. I am sure there are lots of people there who could help you.
When we drove down two years ago from Ontario we went through Ohio and down to Laredo where we crossed. But my info would be two years old and the folks over on the other forum are a travelling bunch :)

Your best bet is to order a Mexico road atlas from OMNI Resources. They have a really good one. Item #65-01902 Mexico Road Atlas by Guia Roji. $15.95
Their site is a pain to navigate through, so stick with it. On the home page, click on MAPS. On the Maps page click on INTERNATIONAL MAPS. Next click MEXICO. On the Mexico page, click on MEXICO ROAD ATLAS and there you are.
It’s excellent.
www.omnimap.com or click below.

I go to and from Laredo once a month. It's really very simple, toll road and Hwy 57 all the way. It's the Laredo- Mexico City Hwy. The only tricky turns you gotta watch out for are at Monterrey - watch for the Mexico Cuota sign. At the Saltillo turnoff towards Mexico City there is some road work but it only lasts about a mile. It's then a clear shot to San Luis Potosi.
Once past San Luis Potosi watch the San Diego de la Union turnoff take a right and then head for Dolores and San Miguel Allende.
Good luck let me know if you have any questions.
Rene

As you must buy auto insurance before you cross the border, you could choose Sanborn's. They provide you with a map and a travelogue guidebook for your route.
: We have rented a casa in San Miguel for Jan. thru March and would like to drive from OH, USA.
