Has anyone had recent experience crossing (with a vehicle) from Mexico into Guatemala. What level of hassle should I expect? Is there a preferred crossing point? My last experience was the point nearest to Tapachula, and it wasn't too bad. However, I didn't have a vehicle then. I am contemplating crossing with a vehicle and need to think about insurance, inspections, etc. And speaking of the former, can insurance for Guate. be purchased at the border?
