car jackings between Monterey and Laredo

Does anyone know of details or exact locations of these car jackings and robberies the US State Dept Travel Advisory mentions between Monterey and Laredo? Are they on the cuotas or on the highway past the cuota into N.Laredo? I make this trip every 2 months and am going again in 3 weeks.
Thanks,
Taco

My understanding is they were on the cuota not far from the toll plaza at km 100. There has also been problems on the two lane section of Mx85 between NL and the interior checkpoint.

I suppose people are reluctant to say much because the situation is so fluid that by the time you see it in the news it's obsolete. Especially with sources like the consulates. The last consulate warning I recall about trouble on the Monterrey highway was months ago, which is ancient history.

Thanks Reefhound. It helps to get an idea of the locations even though the situation is fluid so I can keep an eye out. Appreciate your information very much.
