From Chihuahua to Mexico City, 22 hours, $ 80 USD, Futura, TC, or ODM line. Futura buses look modern to me, try them first.<p>From Mexico City to Los Mochis, my book says few direct buses. You may end up changing buses in Culiacan, or Mazatlan. I would probably head for Mazatlan rather than Culiacan. Carry a small map of Mexico in case you do not find a convenient bus to your first choice. The larger the city, the more likely you can get a direct bus to Mexico City. The travel time, cost, and distance are probably similar to Chihuahua, although my book suggests a higher cost, perhaps over $100. Look for Estrella Blanca, Tres Estrellas de Oro, or Elite lines.<p>I suggest that you avoid night travel in the Pacific coast area, for security reasons. Mexico city area not great for night travel either.<p>Given the long distances and the perhaps $200 in bus fare, you may wish to reconsider flying into Mexico City. There is probably a better alternative.<p>Richard<p>
