Anyone know which bus line(s) operate between Guadalajara and Mazatlan?
The travel agents in Guad sell tickets for ETN and Flecha Amarilla/Primera Plus, neither of which operates on that route.
Any info about frequency of service, length of journey, price, etc. will be greatly appreciated.
My apologies if this question has been recently addressed on this forum.

> Any info about frequency of service, length of journey, price, etc. will be greatly appreciated.
Mi novia made this run two weeks ago, after we spent 9 days together in Mazatlan. I was rather distracted at the time, but seem to recall that the bus line was Elite, and the cost for a first class ticket (there didn't seem to be any Lujo) was somewhere between $240-280 MXP. The trip, by "direct" routing without any major stopovers or transfers, was on the order of 8 hours. A bus left from Mazatlan heading south to Guadalajara at 12:30 PM, I seem to recall the alternatives being early in the morning, on the order of 7:00 AM, and possibly an evening run. From Guadalajara I believe the options were a redeye leaving at 11 PM or midnight, or a 7 AM departure.
My somewhat aged Moon Pacific Mexico Handbook lists the telephone numbers (translated into the new dialing format) for Elite in Guadalajara as:
(33) 36790462, (33) 36790463, or 36790467. In Mazatlan the number is listed as (669) 9813811.
The Moon guide also indicates that service from Guadalajara to Mazatlan is provided by Transportes del Norte (Guadalajara (33) 36790432 or 435) and Transportes del Pacifico (Guadalajara (33) 36000854 or 339).
Hope this helps.
- Ed

The last time I traveled this route, there was a price war on, and TAP provided the best prices and buses. Since then, over a year ago, I hear that TAP has been bought by Pacifico, so the deals may be gone.
