Unfortunately for those of us in the DFW area, there is no Sanborn's up here in the DFW area.
They are only located in texas border towns, in laredo and Mcallen/Hidalgo, mebbe others.
The way you do it is like this:
first choice, call them on the 800 number listed above. Give them your specs: ie: which cities you will want to go to, how many days you plan to spend over there, and whatever else they ask- I believe make, model, and year of your vehicle.
They will give you a price quote.
You can then send a check or charge it, and they will mail everything to you. You will be paying for auto ins into Mexico for the length of the trip, plus health ins, and a complimentary very detailed road guide to those areas you are planning to visit.
I highly recommend it, specially for first-time drivers into Mexico. We have used them countless times oer the past 40+ years, since I was a child with my parents, and now as adults ourselves.

: Call Sanborn's. You'll need auto insurance anyway since you'll be traveling over 75 miles beyond the boarder. Sanborn's will send you everything you need for your trip including very detailed instructions on hoe to get to your destination. I Don't know if there is a Sanborn's in Dallas, but thier toll free in Brownsville/McAllen is: 1800-284-9783.
: Good luck, : Anthony
: : i was wanting to know the best route from dallas, tx to puerto vallarta and how many days or hours it would take. thanks for your time!
