Will I be allowed back to Mexico?

Can't Post | Private Reply
I have driven to Mexico many times in the past. The last time I returned, in 2000, I did not return my car/tourist papers at the border because I didn't know that it was necessary. That was (I believe) the first year that returning the papers was required and that computers were used to track this. I have not had the opportunity to return to Mexico since then.

So where do I stand now? Can I drive back to Mexico in the same vehicle? (it is an old VW bus which is in excellent mechanical condition). How about driving in another vehicle? Or flying? What kind of problems might I encounter?

Sincere Thanks,
Bill

I forgot to mention that I still have the papers and sticker from that trip if that makes any difference.

Bill,

I get this question all the time and have helped many people. I have also been in this situation. Read what I wrote at http://mexicomike.com/...ost_car_permits.html and see if the answer is there. If not, I can personally help you with a consultation. But don't worry, there is always a way. 'Mexico' Mike.
