Restaurant Cha Cha Cha is closed. We generally prefer the Gran Hotel or La Surtidora, mostly for their breakfasts, but our top favorite lunch restaurant is Mariscos La Güera, in Pátzcuaro at the intersection of Calle Federico Tena and Libramiento, or at the newer and larger "Campestre" location on the highway to Morelia, at Km. 44.6, at Colonia Nueva. Both open about noon and close by 6 p.m. IMO, the best restaurant breakfast in Pátzcuaro is at Fonda Mamá Lupe, on Calle Benito Mendoza, across from Bancomer. The only negatives are the uncomfortable woven chair seats and the weak coffee. The food is excellent and inexpensive. Cuanajo, about 20 minutes east of Pátzcuaro is another town noted for wooden furniture. I have little to say about lodgings, as we live nearby and have only stayed in one Pátzcuaro hotel, La Posada de La Salud, which is clean but basic. We know the owners of Mesón de San Antonio, but have never stayed there. It is a lovely place. "Cada loco con su tema." Saludos, Anónimo
