Tuxtla Gutierrez to San Cristobal

I am flying to Tuxtla Gtz on Saturday and then need to get to San Cristobal also on Saturday. We (2 of us) arrive at about 6:30 pm. What are our transportation options from the airport to San Cristobal? Thanks for any help.

At the airport, there are combis, taxis, and rental cars.

Thanks. I should have been more specific.
I figured there were rental cars (not our choice this trip) and cabs. Cabs are often a pretty expensive option for a longish trip like to San Cristobal from the airport. Do (any of) you have any general idea about costs, or information about bus transportation? Or maybe the cabs really are a reasonable alternative in price.

Per http://www.ticketbus.com.mx, there are many buses from Tuxtla to San Cristobal. Omnibus Cristobal Colon, one hour, 34 pesos. There are also Luxury buses, ADO GL, but they are less frequent, seven per day, 38 pesos. We took the bus to San Cristobal, years ago.

I would suggest you price a taxi ride to San Cristobal when you get to the airport, and if the taxi seems like it is too much, take a taxi to the bus station.

When I left the airport last summer, I shared a cab with others (at the suggestion of the woman selling tickets). It only took about 10 minutes to get 3 other people. I think we paid about $150 each. I did not see any combis or any other transportation available from the airport, but maybe I missed something. On return, I took a car from my hotel in SC (alone) and I think that was about $300. The hotel also had regular van trips, very inexpensive, but not early enough for my flight.

As in most cities, the airport is far from the city center--and nowhere near the Tuxtla bus station. The trip to San Cristóbal via combi is substantially less expensive than the trip via taxi. I'm sorry I don't know the cost, but I didn't pay, either the fee or attention.

Thank you all for the helpful info. It's good to know the bus station is far from the airport. Sometimes efficiency in time outweighs lower cost. We'll compare a cab to the combis.
