During our last land crossing, they were really hung up about pork. We had six packages of commercially vacuum packed Arrachera and they kept asking me if it wasn't pork. I assured them/promised them that they were beef and offered to let them examine the packages but they declined.

Then they asked me if we had rocks from Mexico???????????????????????

So does anyone have a clue about the rocks question? It wasn't just once but multiple times and I finally asked why but got no answer.

On a slightly different topic, I went through US Immigration & Customs at LAX on 9/2 and it may have been the easiest and least invasive experience ever. Not only were the officers pleasant but they actually joked with me. Big contrast to the rude and quite invasive agents at TSA at LAX. They have to be the worst I have ever experienced. I realize that they have a job to do and don't have a problem with them doing so but lose the "attitude and rudeness"!
