Taking pet to Mexico by air

I have been taking my pets to Mexico for 10 years but never by air. I will be flying to GDL on Sunday May 16th. with my 4lb. Papillon. All her shot records are in order and her health certificate will be less than 72 hrs. old. Should I anticipate any problems getting her in the country? Thanks.....

Your only possible problem will be with the airline. Are you sure they are cool with the idea?

Best be calling the airline......plus there are new government rules for bringing pets into Mexico by air...see this link

I am cool with the airline, just checked my pet's confirmation code with Continental and it was good. I don't know who checks all the paper work at GDL, and if they would be working on a Sunday afternoon. After a 12 hour day I could not leave this dog at the airport in her little crate till some one comes to work Monday. Any thoughts?

We brought both a cat and a dog at various times into Mazatlan and there was ALWAYS someone there to do the inspection.
