You either must get an FM3 visa or you can renew for another six months on an FMT within Mexico. You need to first renew your FMT with the immigration office, and then go to the Banjercito with all the previous paperwork that helped you get the vehicle permit, and you are on your way.
: We are planning to spend a yesr in Mexico. Banjercito question for Robert

Can't Post |
I am going to southern Mexico with my car and I will have to renew my FMT and vehicle permit in 6 months (unless I find sposorship) My question is, does Banjercito have offices throughout Mexico? Will I have to drive all the way back to the original point of entry in Texas? I will be closer to the Guatemalan border than the US border.

I changed my FMT to my FM3 vehicle permit right here in Mexico City.
