Selling my minivan in Mexico??
Can't Post |
I just sold my truck (1987) legally in Mexico, but we had to go to the border to do it--in this case, Tapachula. We were helped by a customs guy, who told us it is just pickup trucks, more than ten years old, that can be legalized. (It cost $6000 (pesos). He told us minivans and SUV's are not included in the truck category--just pickups. Cynthia
: I doubt it can be done legally, which means that you could be fresh meat for any shark who wants to cheat you. The program for importing some pre-1994 camionetas was for vehicles previously in the country. I have a 1994 Cherokee I'd love to localize (it's legal, but with U.S. plates). We've been looking for ways to do that for years now. If you find a way, I owe you a good tequila and a great cigar next time yer in Mexico City.
